One major setback in planning the perfect wedding can be getting to and from the venue, especially when guests want to let go of their worries, celebrate a close friend or family member and have a few drinks. Let’s face it, if the groomsmen are stuck having to get behind the wheel after celebrating on the big day, what fun is that? And furthermore, if the boys don’t have fun then how will the girls have fun? The dilemma presents itself and we stand, ready to combat it.
Yes, we realize there are plenty of hotels you can potentially choose from to solve your driving after drinking dilemma. But then comes the aftermath of this transparent solution – do you really want your wedding to feel like it’s at a hotel? The convenience is there, but where is the ambiance? That’s where we come in.
We’re pleased to tell you that you don’t have to choose between ambiance and convenience. The setup is more of a home-away-from-home at Silverado, stretching across 1,200 acres in Napa Valley’s wine country. Each wedding venue that lies within the resort exudes the much-desired feeling of seclusion or semi-seclusion. A perfect example is The Grove, where you’ll actually feel like you’re in a whimsical fairy-tale (picture 300 year old towering Oak Trees, Mayacamas mountains in the backdrop, and lush greenery in every direction). Although you’ll feel tucked away from the crowds, the great news is that you’re still on property! This is where golf carts become seriously handy.
And while often times, the Groom and his men can be overlooked when it comes to pre-wedding pampering, our spa encourages the men to partake in all the fun and relaxation (facials, massages, bubbles, hair cut and style, manicure/pedicure, etc). Besides this, the party can take vicarious joy in experiencing a PGA championship golf course with double dog legs, challenging water crossings and ghost traps galore. Our tranquil golf course is the perfect place to keep calm before vowing your life away. Kidding of course, we all know this doesn’t actually happen until you have children.
So when it comes down to planning your wedding and you’re so immersed in it that you’re stressing because the linens aren’t the right color and the dress you wanted looked way better on the hanger…don’t forget about your grooms. They just want to have fun. That’s all they really want.
