How to Maximize your Spa Experience

re·lax:      /riˈlaks/      verb

  • make or become less tense or anxious.
    • synonyms: calm, loosen, unwind, repose

What a forgotten notion, right? Well, not here. At the Silverado Spa, we have managed to preserve the lost art of relaxation, a concept that dates back to our beloved ancestors (think ancient Roman Bath Houses, etc.). In addition to preserving this ideology, we have attempted to modernize the practice (we thought a public bath house may be a bit invasive of privacy).

Nonetheless, we’ll go back to the basics with some insight on to how to maximize your spa experience:

1. Seasonal Specials: Each month, a new special is created based on seasonal offerings. For the month of August (for example), experience the Meyer Lemon Salt Glow, an infusion of grape seed oil, soothing chamomile, Aloe Vera and fresh Meyer lemons. Previous specials have included the Honey Dream Treatment and the Lavender Herbal Sugar Scrub.

2. Outdoor Massage Cabanas: Nestled in our Meyer Lemon garden, you have the choice between several massages- one of our favorites is the Lomi-Lomi, a Hawaiian inspired rhythmic full-body massage that focuses on continuous flowing strokes worked into the muscles. Aloooha!

3. Skin, Hair, Nails: Top notch services at this salon- we highly recommend enjoying your treatment while basking in our private salon garden. (Combo recommendation: Healing Stone Massage>Brightening Radiance Facial>Salon/garden relaxation)

4. Day Spa Packages: If you’re bringing your honey, we’d suggest going with the Couples Celebration (Wine & Roses package). Warm Rose Candle Massage for Her, Honey Ginger Massage for Him, plus wine and a body treatment of your choice.

5. Body Treatments: Try the Vineyard Grape Seed Polish treatment if you’re looking for something unique to Napa Valley, a local favorite that uses crushed grape seed husks and oil to gently polish the skin. Hello soft n’ smooth, goodbye dull n’ dry.

Already planned your day? Not to worry, we’re sure you’ll fit something in- after all, a little spa-ntaneity never hurt anybody.

WARNING: Spa life is highly addictive. Fortunately, relaxation has been scientifically proven to be GREAT for your health. Spa on!
